Passivhaus Standard Development
The Frith is an exclusive development of nine detached homes in Pembury, Kent, delivered for Cubed Homes. Comprising a mix of three and four-bedroom properties, the scheme was designed and built to Passivhaus standards, combining contemporary design with exceptional energy performance, comfort and durability. Each home benefits from a highly insulated and airtight building envelope, triple-glazed windows, and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR), helping to minimise energy demand while creating healthy and comfortable living environments.
Beattie provided the technical design package for the development, including PHPP modelling, overheating assessments, structural calculations, manufacturing information and a detailed 3D model. The project utilised the Beattie Structural Thermal Envelope system to support the delivery of Passivhaus performance and programme certainty on site. The development demonstrates how high-quality, low-energy homes can be delivered at scale without compromising on architectural quality, space or market appeal.
