Full design flexibility and futureproofing



The patented and certified build system has no restrictions on design. Our architectural design team will transform any shape or style of architectural drawing into a 3D model, using the latest BIM software, to deliver a custom-made package that incorporates all the benefits of our build system.
The build system also has no limitations in terms of external finishes, so each Beattie home can be as unique as its owner.
Environmental, financial, health and wellbeing benefits



The cheapest and most renewable energy will always be the energy you don’t use. By adding MVHR and triple-glazed windows to a Beattie structure, you can significantly reduce heating demand.
We always adopt a ‘fabric first’ approach. A traditional heating system is not require, due to the high performance of the structural thermal envelope and the heat recovery in the ventilation system. From here, it’s a relatively straightforward task to add a source of renewable energy and achieve net zero.

- Fire safety – Beattie provides you with 4 hours fire protection to party wall as standard.
- Sound – Beattie delivers 54db, which is considerably better than building regulations. This results in a dramatic reduction in sound between dwellings and external noise, such as busy roads or flight paths.
- Thermal Efficiency – Beattie achieves thermal efficiency of 0.11 and below. This means that the building loses significantly less heat than a traditional construction.
- Airtightness – Our build system achieves results below 0.06 and this means that there is minimal heat loss through convection. Essentially, you’re retaining heat within the building, lowering the heating demand.
Flood protection is incorporated into all Beattie houses as standard. You can rest assured that our homes are tanked to protect you from flood water.
You can’t see radon gas and you can’t smell it or taste it. But it may be a problem in your home. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is present to some extent in all rocks beneath foundations. Each year, there are approximately 1,100 deaths in the UK as a result of lung cancer linked to radon exposure in the home.
At Beattie, we fit radon protection as standard, regardless of the readings in your area.
The UK has a legally-binding commitment to reach net zero by 2050. The housing sector emits an enormous amount of carbon and UK homes are notoriously inefficient.
The Passivhaus standard is a proven route to net zero for new builds while EnerPHit provides a rigorous framework for retrofitting existing buildings. The energy efficiency and environmental benefits are undeniable.
Beattie believes that a building should offer its occupants more than just a ‘roof over their heads’ – it should also protect them from external factors which may adversely affect their wellbeing and actively promote good health.
A Passivhaus encourages more fresh air to circulate than traditional construction techniques. With a Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) system supplying a continuous flow of pre-warmed fresh air, your house will be healthy and free of humidity (and any associated problems, such as mould) as well as airborne pollutants.
A continuous supply of fresh, filtered air reduces health issues:
- Reduction in respiratory illnesses (e.g. asthma)
- Protection from pollutants: mould, CO2, smoke, radon, humidity and pollen

MMC housing offers a host of benefits compared to traditional methods of construction.

Many buildings are ‘closed’ when structural inspections take place. At Beattie, we ensure our houses are inspected at the right time. This gives you complete peace of mind that your building has been built correctly.
- Upon completion of the structural build, all joints and fixings are open for inspection by Building Control, Warranty Provider, and an Independent Structural Engineer.
- Building Control, Warranty Provider and Independent Structural Engineers can study 3D BIM models before arrival on site – speeding up the process and making everything more efficient.
The use of our bespoke 3D modelling design allows all materials to be measured to within a single millimetre, which reduces wastage and any over-ordering of materials.
We use Just in Time (JIT) production methods to reduce inventory costs and improve our quality processes. JIT also reduces lead times, allowing us to quickly respond to customer demand and refine our production processes.
In tandem with 3D modelling, JIT manufacturing minimises the production of excess or unnecessary inventory, reducing waste and lowering costs. All these benefits improve turnaround times, leading to higher levels of customer satisfaction.
Our build system provides an easy to assemble frame-link build system that can be built by semi-skilled labour.
